Asbestos Surveys:
We offer a free, no obligation information service regarding asbestos surveying and asbestos management plans.
Through our UKAS accredited partner companies, we can provide you with a quotation to carry out any of the three types of MDHS 100 asbestos survey to ensure you meet your requirements under Regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006. From this we can also implement a management plan to ensure complete continuing compliance with the current legislation.
Which type of MDHS 100 Asbestos Survey do I need?
Type 1 - Presumptive Survey - The location of presumed asbestos containing materials are registered and monitored on a regular basis. No samples are taken during these surveys, all materials with a possible asbestos content are recorded and managed.
Type 2 - Standard Sampling Identification and Assessment Survey - This survey is similar to the Type 1 survey, however, samples of suspect materials are taken for lab analysis. From the lab report, an accurate register of asbestos containing materials can be created and, from this report, can be correctly managed within your asbestos management plan.
Type 3 - Major Refurbishment/Demolition Survey - This survey locates, as far as reasonably practicable all asbestos containing materials within a building. This is an intrusive survey and may include destructive sampling to identify any asbestos containing material regardless of location. This must be carried out prior to any major refurbishment or demolition works.
